Kaylee Ong of Belmont Abbey Named Conference Carolinas Women’s Golfer of the Week

GREENVILLE, S.C. – Kaylee Ong of Belmont Abbey was selected as the Conference Carolinas Golfer of the Week for women’s golf for the week ending March 28.
 
A senior from Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, Ong finished tied for 14th at the Lady Bearcat Invitational at Greenwood Country Club as she helped the Crusaders to a ninth-place team finish.

Ong carded a 54-hole 223 as she bookended the tournament with a pair of 75s and carded a 73 in round two. She carded 43 pars on the par 72, 5,976 yard course, the second-most in the field, and had the third-best par 3 scoring average at 3.08.
