Bartosz Mielniczuk of Emmanuel Collects All-American Status at NCAA Division II Swimming & Diving Championships

INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. – Bartosz Mielniczuk of Emmanuel secured All-America status in the 50 freestyle finals at the 2023 NCAA Division II Swimming & Diving Championships at the Indiana University Natatorium.
 
Mielniczuk finished eighth in the consolation final and 16th overall with a time of 20.10. In the prelims, Mielniczuk placed 15th with a time of 19.96 to earn a spot in the consolation finals.

In the women’s 50 freestyle prelims, UNC Pembroke junior Mariel Mencia Martinez finished 41st in the event with a time of 23.93 seconds. Her time was 1.39 seconds off the leader, Johanna Buys of Indianapolis, and it is the fifth sub-24 second time for Martinez in the event this season.

The Emmanuel 200 freestyle relay team of Mykhailo Semenov, Luigi Da Silva, Anton Akopian and Mielniczuk finished the first day of nationals in 16th with a time of 1:28.29.

Mielniczuk earned six points for the Lions who are tied with Lewis for 20th through 11 events.
