Lauryn Taylor of Francis Marion Named D2 CCA Women’s Basketball All-Region
GREENVILLE, S.C. - Lauryn Taylor of Francis Marion has been named to the 2022-23 Division II Conference Commissioners Association (D2 CCA) Women’s Basketball All-Southeast Region Team.
A first team selection this season, the 5-foot-11 Blythewood, South Carolina native was a second-team honoree last season.
Taylor was named the 2022-23 Conference Carolinas women’s basketball Player of the Year as she led Conference Carolinas in scoring at 17.7 points per contest, ranked third in rebounding at 8.6 per game and finished the year fifth in the league in field goal percentage (.461). Taylor helped Francis Marion to a 20-7 record and the No. 2 seed in the conference tournament. She finished the year with 52 assists, 24 steals and 14 blocks for the Patriots.
Sports information directors from NCAA Division II Southeast Region schools and conferences selected the D2CCA all-region teams. The process concludes with All-American selections announced later in the month.
