Conference Carolinas Indoor Track & Field Student-Athletes to Compete at NCAA Division II Indoor Track & Field Championships

VIRGINIA BEACH, Va.– The 2023 NCAA Division II Indoor Track and Field Championships begin on Friday, March 10 at the Virginia Beach Sports Center in Virginia Beach, Virginia and two Conference Carolinas student-athletes and one relay from two institutions will compete across three different events.
Mount Olive had one individual and one relay selected while Southern Wesleyan had one student-athlete invited to the event.
Mycherie Onwuzuruike of Southern Wesleyan will get the championship started for Conference Carolinas as she is the first student-athlete to compete in the first flight of the women’s long jump which begins at 4 p.m. on Friday, March 10. Jaylin Reeves of Mount Olive will wrap up the first day of competition in the women’s 200m which begins at 5:10 p.m. Reeves will run in lane three of heat four.
On Saturday, Reeves would compete in the women’s 200m final at 5:30 p.m. if she qualifies on Friday night. Reeves, Vinesha Briggs, Jaiden Moody and Channie Jefferson will wrap up the meet in the women’s 4x400m relay which is scheduled for 6:30 p.m. Mount Olive will run in the first heat out of lane five.
