Janai Brown of Limestone Named Conference Carolinas Acrobatics & Tumbling Athlete of the Week
GREENVILLE, S.C. – Janai Brown of Limestone was selected as the Conference Carolinas Athlete of the Week for acrobatics & tumbling for the week ending April 9.
A freshman base/back spot from Lilburn, Georgia, Brown competed in eight heats and team event in the conference clinching 273.920-261.540 win over No. 10 Belmont Abbey on April 5.
Brown helped the Saints to a season-best 38.35/40 in the compulsory events with a season-high 9.9/10 in the compulsory pyramid and a 9.75 in the compulsory toss. She also competed in the 6 element heat in the acro event and posted the second-highest score of the season for the Saints with a 9.5.
Brown competed in all three pyramid heats highlighted by her second perfect 10 in the open pyramid. She added a 9.6 in the synch toss heat and helped Limestone to a 94.27 team event score to help the Saints to a second consecutive perfect regular season at 9-0.
