Conference Carolinas Strong Spring Continues in Latest Rankings Update

GREENVILLE, S.C. – Conference Carolinas continued to have 13 programs earn spots in their respective national and regional polls in this week’s rankings update headlined by North Greenville who remains atop the NCBWA poll and Mount Olive women’s track & field which headlines the USTFCCCA Southeast Region rankings.

  • The National Collegiate Acrobatics & Tumbling Association (NCATA) unveiled the third set of championship rankings on April 12 and two Conference Carolinas institutions remained ranked in the top-10 as Limestone moved up one spot to No. 8 while Belmont Abbey remained No. 10. The top eight teams in the final ranking will qualify for the 2023 NCATA National Championship Tournament. The seedings and pairings for the 2023 NCATA National Championships will be announced on Monday, April 17. The full NCATA release is available here

  • The National Collegiate Baseball Writers Association (NCBWA) released the week nine regular season poll and North Greenville, who is 36-5 overall and 21-3 in league play, remained atop the poll with 473 points and 17-of-20 first-place votes. UNC Pembroke received votes in the poll.  The Crusaders remained atop the Southeast Region poll with 100 points and all 10 first-place votes while UNC Pembroke climbed one spot to No. 5 with 49 points and Mount Olive slipped four spots to No. 9 with 29 points. Belmont Abbey remained in the poll at No. 10 with 17  points while Erskine and Barton received votes in the poll. The polls are available here.

    In the April 10  Collegiate Baseball Division II poll, North Greenville remained at  No. 2 with 210 points while Mount Olive fell three spots to No. 11 with 115 points and UNC Pembroke slipped four spots to No. 21 with 74 points. The full poll can be seen here

  • In the April 12 Golfstat team rankings, the Barton men came in at No. 22. Meanwhile in the April 14th edition of the Bushnell/Golfweek Division II Coaches Poll, the Bulldogs ranked 23rd with 22 points. The Golfstat rankings are available here while the coaches poll can be viewed here.

  • The United States Intercollegiate Lacrosse Association (USILA)/Blatant Lacrosse week nine regular-season poll saw Belmont Abbey climb into the top-20 at No. 20 with 40 points. The full poll is available here.

  • Inside Lacrosse Women (ILWomen) and the Intercollegiate Women’s Lacrosse Coaches Association (IWLCA) released the April 10 regular-season ILWomen/IWLCA Division II poll and Mount Olive remained at No. 25 with 24 points. The poll is available here.

  • The Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) released the NCAA Division II Men’s and Women’s National Team, Singles and Doubles Rankings sponsored by Tennis-Point for April 12 and Conference Carolinas had three teams ranked.  In the women’s team rankings Erskine continued to lead the conference at No. 37 with a 17.747 average while Mount Olive was ranked No. 45 with a 13.479 average. In the men’s rankings Francis Marion continued as the only league program ranked as they came in at No. 40 with a 15.202 average. The rankings are available here.

  • On the track, the United States Track and Field Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) released the third national and regional Track & Field Rating Index (TFRI) and Mount Olive topped the Southeast Region rankings with 802.66 points while Southern Wesleyan joined them in the top five at No. 5 with 381.61 points. Converse cracked the top-10 at No. 9 with 260.14 points followed by Belmont Abbey (11th, 234.09), North Greenville (13th, 201.96), UNC Pembroke (17th, 165.54), Emmanuel (20th, 121.09), King (23rd, 72.08), Erskine (25th, 64.58), Lees-McRae (26th, 54.44), Barton (28th, 4.33) and Francis Marion  (29th, 1.05). In the men’s regional rankings, the Trojans came in at No. 3 with 522.70 points while UNC Pembroke joined Mount Olive in the top 10 at No. 6 with 434.76 points. Southern Wesleyan ranked 11th with 207.98 points followed by North Greenville (13th, 202.93), Belmont Abbey (14th, 201.39), Emmanuel (18th, 130.31), Lees-McRae (19th, 100.38), Erskine (21st, 73.82), King (22nd, 64.92), Barton (26th, 32.95), Converse (27th, 31.73) and Francis Marion (28th, 1.25).   • Off the Block released the week 14 NCAA Division II coaches poll and North Greenville remained at No. 6 with 53 points while Erskine moved up one spot to No. 8 with 32 points and King was 10th with 11 points. Belmont Abbey and Lees-McRae received votes in the poll. The full poll is available here.
