2023 Men's Volleyball Championship Preview

BRISTOL, Tenn. – Conference Carolinas will hold its 2023 Men’s Volleyball Championship semifinals and final at the Student Center Complex on the campus of King University on Friday, April 21 and Saturday, April 22.
 
The venue has become a familiar facility for Conference Carolinas volleyball fans. King hosted both the Conference Carolinas Men’s and Women’s Volleyball Championships in the spring of 2021. King also played host to the 2022 Conference Carolinas Women's Volleyball Championship. 
 
Back-to-back regular-season champion North Greenville, who is 18-7 on the season and was 11-3 in league play, enters the tournament on a five-match winning streak. North Greenville will face off against fourth-seeded Belmont Abbey at 5 p.m. in the “Battle of the Crusaders” in the first semifinal on Friday. Belmont Abbey swept the fifth-seeded Bobcats of Lees-McRae, 25-22, 25-23, 25-23, in the quarterfinals on Tuesday, April 18 to book their trip to Friday’s semifinal matchup against North Greenville.
 
Erskine captured the second seed with a sweep of Emmanuel on the final day of the regular season to improve to 14-12 overall and finish league play at 9-5. The Flying Fleet will battle third-seeded King in the second semifinal at approximately 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Sixth-seeded Mount Olive won the first two sets, but King won the final three sets in the quarterfinal on April 18 to complete the reverse sweep and punch their ticket to the semifinals.
 
The 2023 Conference Carolinas Men’s Volleyball Championship final is scheduled for 6:30 p.m. on Saturday, April 22.
