Riley D'Andrea of Belmont Abbey and Aviva Beringhause of Lees-McRae Named Final Women’s Lacrosse Weekly Award Winners

GREENVILLE, S.C. – Riley D'Andrea of Belmont Abbey and Aviva Beringhause of Lees-McRae were selected as the final Conference Carolinas weekly award winners for women’s lacrosse for the 2023 season.
 
D'Andrea was named the Offensive Player of the Week for the fourth time this season, while Beringhause garnered Defensive Player of the Week honors for the second time this season.
 
A senior attack from Farmingdale, New York, D'Andrea finished with a pair of five-goal games in wins over Converse and Emmanuel to close the regular season. D'Andrea also had five assists on the week. She finished with the team lead in goals with 67 goals and she also had 35 assists. She had 102 points on the season and became the third player in program history to reach 100 points. She joins current assistant coach Kylie Eastman (2021, 2019) and Rebecca Luca (2018) to join that distinguished category. D'Andrea leads Conference Carolinas with 6.00 points per game.
 
A junior goalie from Providence, Rhode Island, Beringhause made 17 saves in a conference win over Southern Wesleyan. She only allowed seven goals in the contest. Beringhause ended the season with the fifth-most saves in program history in a single season with 135 and holds the all-time single-season record for saves per game at 13.5 as Bobcat. The 13.5 saves per game leads Conference Carolinas.
