2023 Conference Carolinas Men’s and Women’s Outdoor Track & Field Championships Preview

MYRTLE BEACH S.C. – The 2023 Conference Carolinas Men’s and Women’s Outdoor Track and Field Championships are scheduled for Friday, April 28 - Saturday, April 29 at Doug Shaw Memorial Stadium in Myrtle Beach.
The meet gets underway at 1 p.m. on Friday with the women’s javelin. The women’s 1500m prelims get things started on the track at 4:35 p.m.
Saturday begins in the field at 10 a.m. with the women’s discus and the men’s and women’s triple jump. The women’s 4x100m relay final gets things started on the track at 12 p.m. The complete meet schedule is available here.
The United States Track and Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) released its conference Track & Field Rating Index (TFRI) this week and Mount Olive tops both the women’s rankings with 1,346.7 points while UNC Pembroke leads the men’s rankings with 1,206.49 points. In the women’s rankings, Southern Wesleyan is second with 761.43 points while Belmont Abbey is third with 745.83 points. In the men’s rankings, Mount Olive is second with 1,114.54 points and Belmont Abbey is third 704.42 points.
While the complete Conference Carolinas performance list is available here, there have been 28 NCAA Division II provisional marks hit this outdoor season by 20 student-athletes and four relays with potentially more to come.

Admission for the event will be $12 per day or $20 for an all-tournament pass. Tickets must be purchased through Conference Carolinas’ partnership with HomeTown Ticketing here. A concession stand will be available. In addition, Conference Carolinas championship merchandise will be sold at the 2023 Conference Carolinas Outdoor Track & Field Championships.
