Marty Letessier of Converse Chosen Men’s Tennis Player of the Week
GREENVILLE, S.C. - Marty Letessier of Converse has been named the Player of the Week for men’s tennis for the week ending April 2, 2023.
A freshman from France, Letessier was 2-0 in singles and doubles this past week. Letessier secured his first singles win on the week in a thrilling 7-5, 0-6, 6-4 win over Parv Nage of Emmanuel at No. 4 singles. He followed that up later in the week with a 6-2, 6-1 win over Andre Schiabel of King at No. 3 singles.
In doubles, Letessier teamed with Leopold Morel to pick up a 6-3 win over Emmanuel’s Hassan Badran and Nage at No. 2 doubles. The duo secured a 6-0 win over Alex Sodre and Mat Vieira of King at No. 2 doubles.
