Davis Halstead of Mount Olive Selected Baseball Freshman of the Month
GREENVILLE, S.C. - Davis Halstead of Mount Olive has been selected as the Conference Carolinas Freshman of the Month for baseball for March of 2023.
A freshman from Edenton, North Carolina, Halstead earned the starting role in right field in mid-March and has produced five multi-hit performances in just nine starts.
He registered a .387 batting average (12-for-31) with two doubles, two triples, nine RBIs, nine runs scored and two stolen bases. Halstead recorded multiple RBIs in four-straight games. He delivered the walk-off RBI single on March 21 to complete a comeback win over Catawba.
