UNC Pembroke to Represent Conference Carolinas at NCAA Division II Women’s Golf Regional

INDIANAPOLIS – The NCAA announced the field of 48 teams and 24 student-athletes that will be competing in the regional competition of the 2023 NCAA Division II Women’s Golf Championship and Conference Carolinas Champion UNC Pembroke will compete for the second straight season.
 
The 2023 NCAA Division II South Regional will be contested May 8-10 at the Chattahoochee Golf Club in Gainesville, Georgia. The regional will be hosted by North Georgia.
 
The Braves will be making their eighth NCAA Tournament appearance in program history and second straight since rejoining Conference Carolinas last season. UNC Pembroke finished 12th in the regional in 2022.
 
All participants will compete through the 54 holes of competition. The top three (central), five (south), four (west) and six (east) teams along with the top two individuals not on an advancing team will advance to the championships.

The championships will be held May 16-20 at Fox Run Golf Club in Eureka, Missouri. The number of participants that qualify for the finals is 98.
