Drew Stegura of Belmont Abbey Chosen Baseball Freshman of the Month for April
GREENVILLE, S.C. – Drew Stegura of Belmont Abbey has been chosen as the Freshman of the Month for baseball for Conference Carolinas for April of 2023.
Stegura garners the honor for the second time this season after also earning the accolade in February of 2023.
A freshman right-handed pitcher from Lutz, Florida, Stegura finished the final month of the regular season with four saves. He owned an impressive 1.06 earned run average in 17.0 innings pitched. His opponents hit just .133 against him over the course of the month of April. Stegura had 24 strikeouts in the 17.0 innings pitched.
