Conference Carolinas Places 43 on CSC All-District Men’s and Women’s Track & Field/Cross Country Teams
GREENVILLE, S.C. - The 2022-23 Academic All-District® Men’s and Women’s Track & Field/Cross Country teams, selected by College Sports Communicators (CSC), recognizes the nation’s top student-athletes for their combined performances on the field and in the classroom. The CSC Academic All-America® program separately recognizes track & field/cross country honorees in four divisions — NCAA Division I, NCAA Division II, NCAA Division III and NAIA.
Conference Carolinas had 43 student-athletes named to the All-District teams with 16 men and 27 women on the list. UNC Pembroke led eight Conference Carolinas institutions who had at least one student-athlete recognized with 10, five men and five women. Belmont Abbey had seven (two men, five women) student-athletes honored while both Converse and Mount Olive had six student-athletes recognized. The Valkyries had two men and four women honored while the Trojans had one man and five women on the list. King had five honorees (two men, three women), Barton and Francis Marion each placed four (two men, two women) on the list and Lees-McRae had one woman recognized.
Academic All-District® honorees advance to the CSC Academic All-America® ballot. First-, second- and third-team Academic All-America® honorees will be announced in mid March. The CSC Academic All-District® teams include the student-athletes listed here.
The Division II and III CSC Academic All-America® programs are partially financially supported by the NCAA Division II and III national governance structures to assist CSC with handling the awards fulfillment aspects for the 2022-23 Divisions II and III Academic All-America® programs. The NAIA CSC Academic All-America® program is partially financially supported through the NAIA national office.
