Katy Neubert of King Named CSC Women’s Track & Field/Cross Country Academic All-America®
GREENVILLE, S.C. - The 2022-23 Academic All-America® Women’s Track & Field/Cross Country teams, selected by College Sports Communicators (CSC), recognizes the nation’s top student-athletes for their combined performances on the field and in the classroom and Katy Neubert of King earned the honor for Conference Carolinas.
The CSC Academic All-America® program separately recognizes at-large honorees in four divisions — NCAA Division I, NCAA Division II, NCAA Division III and NAIA. The CSC story is available here.
A senior from Johnson City, Tennessee, Neubert graduated with a perfect 4.0 GPA as a cell and molecular biology major. Neubert, one of 12 student-athletes to repeat as Academic All-America® selections, was a five-time All-Conference Carolinas performer this season as she placed third in both the indoor and outdoor 800m, helped the Distance Medley Relay to a third place indoor finish and helped both 4x400m relay teams to top-8 finishes in 2023. The 2022-23 Conference Carolinas Murphy Osborne award winner was also the 2023 Conference Carolinas women’s cross country Elite 23 award winner.
Nineteen of the 49 members of the Academic All-America® Division II women’s track and field/cross country teams boast a perfect 4.0 GPA in their undergraduate work or graduate school.
The Division II Academic All-America® program is being financially supported by the NCAA Division II national governance structure to assist CSC with handling the awards fulfillment aspects for the 2022-23 Division II Academic All-America® program.
