Christian Jayne of UNC Pembroke Named CSC Academic All-America
GREENVILLE, S.C. - The 2022-23 Academic All-America® baseball teams, selected by College Sports Communicators (CSC), recognizes the nation’s top student-athletes for their combined performances on the field and in the classroom and Christian Jayne of UNC Pembroke earned the honor for Conference Carolinas.
The CSC Academic All-America® program separately recognizes baseball honorees in four divisions — NCAA Division I, NCAA Division II, NCAA Division III and NAIA. The CSC story is available here.
A redshirt senior outfielder from Fayetteville, North Carolina, Jayne earned second team honors with a 3.50 undergraduate and 3.80 graduate GPA as a Business Administration major. Jayne led the Braves in hitting with a .381 average, had a league-best 86 hits and led the team with 59 RBIs. He finished second in the league with 75 runs scored, 23 doubles and 41 stolen bases this season.
The Division II Academic All-America® program is being financially supported by the NCAA Division II national governance structure to assist CSC with handling the awards fulfillment aspects for the 2022-23 Division II Academic All-America® program.
