Nine Conference Carolinas Student-Athletes Earn WGCA All-American Scholar Honors

CORAL SPRINGS, Fla. - The 2022-23 Women’s Golf Coaches Association (WGCA) All-American Scholar Team was announced on Monday afternoon and nine Conference Carolinas student-athletes were honored.

Barton had a league-best five honorees led by a trio of two-time honorees in Taylor Capps, Elyse Godding and Grace Greene. Sarah Larkins and Jenna Roach also represented the Bulldogs. UNC Pembroke also had four recognized in Toni Blackwell, Samantha DeBusk, Amanda Hamrin and Georgia Page.

A total of 1,401 student-athletes were recognized. The criteria for selection to the All-American Scholar Team are a minimum 3.50 cumulative GPA, be an amateur and on the team’s roster through the conclusion of the team’s season and have played in 50 percent of the college’s regularly scheduled competitive rounds during the year nominated through the team’s conference championship.
