Conference Carolinas Places 27 Student-Athletes on IWLCA Division II Academic Honor Roll, Four Teams on Academic Honor Squad

NORTHBOROUGH, Mass. - The Intercollegiate Women’s Lacrosse Association (IWLCA) released the 2023 NCAA Division II Academic Honor Roll and Academic Honor Squads and Conference Carolinas had 27 student-athletes and four teams honored. 

The IWLCA honored 401 student-athletes from 59 different institutions on the 2023 IWLCA Division II Academic Honor Roll. To be eligible for this honor, student-athletes must be a junior, senior or graduate student and have earned a cumulative academic GPA of 3.50 or greater.

Mount Olive led the league with nine honorees while Belmont Abbey had eight, Southern Wesleyan had five, Chowan had three and Converse added two. The complete list of honorees is below.

Nearly 300 schools across Division I, II, III, and NAIA earned IWLCA Academic Honor Squad recognition including Belmont Abbey, Converse, Mount Olive and Southern Wesleyan

To qualify for this prestigious honor, the women’s lacrosse team must have posted a 3.2 or higher team GPA for the academic year.
