Barton Picked to Repeat as Men’s Golf Champions

GREENVILLE, S.C. – The Conference Carolinas men’s golf coaches voted Barton to win its second consecutive conference championship in the preseason poll unveiled on Thursday, Jan. 25.

The Bulldogs, who return a trio of all-conference and all-tournament honorees, garnered 64 points and eight-of-nine first-place votes (teams can not vote for themselves). Belmont Abbey was picked second with 53 points and the final first-place vote while Mount Olive was chosen third with 50 points. Erskine, the 2023 championship runner-up, collected 39 points to place fourth.

Emmanuel was picked fifth with 37 points followed by King (28), North Greenville (25), Young Harris (18) and Chowan (10).

The spring season gets underway on Feb. 5 with the conference championship slated for April 21-23 at Cutter Creek Golf Club in Snow Hill, North Carolina.
