North Greenville Picked to Win First Women’s Golf Championship in Preseason Poll

GREENVILLE, S.C.North Greenville was chosen to win the program’s first Conference Carolinas women’s golf championship by conference head coaches in the Conference Carolinas Women’s Golf Preseason Poll released on Thursday afternoon. 

The Crusaders, led by Conference Carolinas first team all-conference performer last season Nicole Kramer, captured 67 points and four-of-nine first-place votes. Erskine and Converse were picked to tie for second with 58 points with the Flying Fleet capturing three first-place votes while the Valkyries gained one first-place nod. Mount Olive was picked fourth with 56 points while Belmont Abbey was fifth with 55 points and the final first-place tally.

King was picked sixth with 48 points followed by Barton (29), UNC Pembroke (28), Emmanuel (27) and Young Harris (24).

The spring season gets underway on Feb. 5 with the conference championship slated for April 14-16 at Carolina Country Club in Spartanburg, South Carolina.
