Nine Student-Athletes Represent Conference Carolinas in NCBWA Preseason Award Lists

GREENVILLE, S.C. - The National Collegiate Baseball Writers Association (NCBWA) announced the 2024 Division II Preseason All-Region and All-America teams and nine Conference Carolinas student-athletes were honored.

Nine of the 14 All-Region selections were from Conference Carolinas led by North Greenville with four All-Region honorees and three All-America selections while Barton, Belmont Abbey, Emmanuel, Erskine and Young Harris each had one student-athlete named All-Region. Barton, Belmont Abbey and Erskine also had a preseason All-American.

Reigning Conference Carolinas Pitcher of the Year Tanner Halvorson of Barton earned First Team All-America and All-Southeast region honors. David Lewis of North Greenville earned Second Team All-America and All-Southeast region honors while his teammates Pat Monteith and Nate Roof were also recognized. Monteith earned Third Team All-America and All-Southeast region honors while Roof was an Honorable Mention All-America selection and earned All-Region honors.

Garrett Browder of Belmont Abbey earned Third Team All-America and All-Southeast region honors while Dale Francis, Jr., the reigning Conference Carolinas Player of the Year, was also a Third Team All-American and All-Southeast region selection. 

Bryce Roddey of North Greenville, Thomas Collins of Emmanuel and Drew Bray of Young Harris also earned All-Southeast region honors.
