GREENVILLE, S.C.– The inaugural Conference Carolinas Men’s Wrestling Developmental Championship will take place on Monday, Jan. 29 in Belmont, North Carolina.

The event, which is a unique championship opportunity for developmental teams within Conference Carolinas, is being hosted by Belmont Abbey inside the Wheeler Center.

The event will begin at 12 p.m. with an awards ceremony to follow. Sixty-one student-athletes will compete across 10 weight classes with the top three finishers in each weight class being awarded with a championship medal. A complete list of student-athletes can be found here.

The tournament will be broadcast live on the Conference Carolinas Digital Network at ConferenceCarolinasDN.com while live stats and tournament brackets will be available via Trackwrestling here

Earlier this fall Conference Carolinas announced that a developmental championship will be held in men’s soccer, men’s wrestling, men’s and women’s basketball, men's volleyball and baseball. The developmental teams will be composed of student-athletes that have either not competed at the varsity level in 2023-24 or have competed sparingly at the varsity level by the time of the championship.
