Avery Buonocore, UNC Pembroke

A freshman from Wilmington, North Carolina, Avery Buonocore of UNC Pembroke finished last week with a perfect 3-0 record at 141 pounds. 

Buonocore started last week with a win by fall (2:35) over Zach Harrington of Newberry. He followed that up by collecting an 11-0 major decision win over Grand Valley State’s Jak Keller at the Mountain Cat Duals. He closed out his efforts in the Mountain Cat Duals with a 11-10 win by decision over Pitt-Johnstown’s Mason Myers. Buonocore is 11-4 on the season with eight pins.
