GREENVILLE, S.C. – Third seed Francis Marion University and fifth seed Young Harris College advance to the Conference Carolinas Men's Soccer Championship semifinals with quarterfinal wins on Sunday.

Francis Marion controlled play in the opening 45 minutes as the Patriots took the lead in the 19th minute. Camilo Salazar played a ball into the middle of the field to find John Osadolor who ripped a shot from 19 yards out into the upper right 90 to put Francis Marion ahead. Mount Olive flipped the field in the second half, with Francis Marion playing a man down for nearly the entire half. However, the Patriot defense held strong to take the 1-0 victory.
#5 Young Harris, #9 Belmont Abbey
The first half was tight, but Young Harris held a 1-0 lead after the opening 45 minutes. Sergio Llopart gave the Mountain Lions a 1-0 lead in the 27th minute with a shot to the lower right corner of the goal. Llopart added two more goals in the second half, coming in the 51st and 61st minutes to give the Mountain Lions a 3-0 advantage. The Mountain Lions made that standup, taking the contest 3-0.
Both Francis Marion and Young Harris advance to the Conference Carolinas Men's Soccer Championship final four on Friday, November 15 at Bryan Park in Browns Summit, North Carolina. Young Harris will take on top seed Chowan University at 4:45 p.m. with Francis Marion facing second seed Converse University at 7:30 p.m.
