Four Conference Carolinas student-athletes named USTFCCCA All-Southeast Region

GREENVILLE, S.C. - The United States Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) announced the 2024 NCAA Division II Cross Country All-Region honorees and Conference Carolinas had four student-athletes from four separate institutions recognized.

Two men and two women were recognized, Ronan O'Neill of Southern Wesleyan University and Nathan Gallman of Belmont Abbey College along with women Moureen Kimaiyo of UNC Pembroke and Ellie Timmons of North Greenville University.

O'Neill won the individual title at the Conference Carolinas Men's Cross Country Championship and was named the league's runner of the year for the second straight year. He finished ninth at the NCAA Southeast Regional with a 10k time of 29:58.8.

Gallman finished 19th at the NCAA Southeast Regional with a 10k time of 31:02.9. He finished runner-up at the Conference Carolinas Championship.

Kimaiyo was the individual champion at the Conference Carolinas Women's Cross Country Championship and was named runner of the year. She covered the 6k distance in 21:31.7 to finish fifth at the NCAA Southeast Regional.

Timmons, the Conference Carolinas Freshman of the Year finished third at the Conference Carolinas Championship and followed that with a 21st-place finish at the NCAA Southeast Regional with a 6k time of 22:26.1.

Athletes earned the distinction of All-Region by virtue of a top-25 finish at one of the eight regional sites this past weekend. Only athletes from USTFCCCA member programs are eligible for awards.
