Men’s Soccer Bracket
GREENVILLE, S.C. – Two Conference Carolinas men’s soccer programs and one women’s soccer program qualified for the NCAA Division II Championships, announced on Monday night on NCAA.com.
Francis Marion University (10-5-6), the Conference Carolinas Men’s Soccer Tournament champions earned the eighth seed and will face Mars Hill University (10-3-4) in the opening round on Friday, November 22. That match will take place at Mars Hill in Mars Hill, North Carolina at 3:00 p.m. The winner will advance to take on the home Limestone University in Gaffney, South Carolina. on Sunday, November 24 at 3:00 p.m.
Converse University (9-1-8), who fell to Francis Marion in the conference tournament semifinals, earned the fifth seed and will host a second round match on Sunday, November 24. The Valkyries will take on fourth seed Clayton State University (12-3-3) at 3:00 p.m.
The winners of those two sites will matchup on December 1 in the third round before the quarterfinals on December 7. The other half Super Region 2 consists of second seed Lynn University, third seed Coker University, sixth seed Auburn University Montgomery, seventh seed University of West Florida and 10th seed Flagler College. The semifinals and final will be on December 12 and 14 in Matthews, North Carolina.
Women’s Soccer Bracket
On the women’s side, Conference Carolinas Women’s Soccer Tournament champion, Francis Marion (12-2-4) earned the eighth seed in the Southeast Region and will take on top seed and host, and second-ranked Columbus State University (19-0-1) in the opening round. That match take place in Columbus, Georgia on Friday, November 22 at 3:00 p.m. The winner of that match will face fourth seed Catawba College (10-2-5) and fifth seed Flagler College (8-3-6) on Sunday, November 24 at 3:00 p.m.
The bottom half of the bracket features second seed Lenoir-Rhyne University (13-1-5), third seed University of North Georgia (11-3-3), sixth seed Wingate University (12-3-3) and seventh seed Lander University (8-3-5)
The third round will take place on December 1 before the quarterfinals on December 7. The semifinals and final will be on December 13 and 15 in Matthews, North Carolina.
