SACRAMENTO, CA - Conference Carolinas had two individuals compete in the NCAA Division II National Cross Country Championships Saturday, November 23 at Arcade Creek Cross Country Course in Sacramento, California.
Southern Wesleyan University junior Ronan O'Neill competed in the men's 10k race, while UNC Pembroke sophomore Moureen Kimaiyo ran in the women's 6k race.
Both had recently won individual titles at the Conference Carolinas Cross Country Championships held at Millikin Research Park in Spartanburg, SC on October 26th.
Amidst a heavy downpour of rain on a soggy golf course O'Neill finished 53rd with a time of 30:46.9 in the first race of the day.
Kimaiyo and the women's race followed the men and she ran 22:40.6 for 152nd place.
