Walker averaged 18.7 points, 5.7 rebounds and 2.0 assists in leading the Bulldogs to a 3-0 week with victories over Winston-Salem State, Shaw and Southern Wesleyan. The senior guard posted 21 points in the first two contests for the Bulldogs before accounting for 21 points and eight rebounds in the final contest of the week. Walker shot 54.0 percent (19-for-35) from the floor and 58.0 (11-for-19) from three-point range.

Lauren Mingo | Barton | Junior | Guard | Clinton, Maryland

Mingo averaged 15.3 points, 8.7 rebounds and 5.0 assists in leading the Bulldogs to a 3-0 week with victories over Winston-Salem State, Shaw and Southern Wesleyan. The junior guard posted nine steals, seven coming in the win over Shaw before posting two blocks in the win over Southern Wesleyan. She started the week with 11 rebounds against Winston-Salem State and added nine against Shaw.
 

MEN'S BASKETBALL

Mikhail Pocknett | King | Sophomore | Guard | Wilmington, North Carolina

In three starts, Pocknett averaged 22.0 points, 9.7 rebounds and 4.7 assists per game, along with 1.0 steals and blocks per game. The sophomore posted a double-double Wednesday in a win over Alice Lloyd, scoring 27 points and pulling 15 rebounds, nine of which were on the defensive glass. He scored 16 points against Bluefield College to go along with nine rebounds before scoring 23 points and adding seven assists on Saturday at Kentucky Wesleyan.

DEFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK - Previous Winners
Ibrahim Wattara | Francis Marion | Senior | Guard | Bronx, New York

Wattara averaged 17.5 points, 7.0 rebounds, 2.5 steals, and 1.5 assists in two games last week.  The senior snared seven rebounds in both of Francis Marion's contests and totaled five steals and one block on the week. The guard helped the Patriots hold its opponents to a combined 42.9 percent shooting from the floor. Wattara recorded 12 points, seven rebounds and three steals against Lander and a career-high 23 points, seven rebounds and two steals against Converse. He shot 11-of-21 from the floor (52.4 percent) and 13-of-15 from the foul line (86.7 percent).
