WOMEN’S VOLLEYBALL BRACKET
GREENVILLE, S.C. – Converse University qualified for the NCAA Division II Women’s Volleyball Championship and will travel to Wingate University, announced by the NCAA on Monday night.
Converse will make their first appearance in the NCAA Division II Women’s Volleyball Championship after winning their first Conference Carolinas title on Saturday. The Valkyries are 23-9 this and finished as the co-champions of the Northwest Division.
The Valkyries will take on regional host and 20th-ranked Wingate University who owns a 28-2 record after winning the South Atlantic Conference regular season and tournament titles.
The Southeast Regional will start with four matches on Friday, December 6 at Wingate University in Wingate, North Carolina. The semifinals will take place on Saturday, December 7 with the regional final to follow on Sunday, December 8.
The winner of Converse and Wingate will face the winner of fourth seed Augusta University (20-7) and fifth seed Lenoir-Rhyne University (25-6). The other half of the bracket includes second seed Lander University (20-5), seventh seed USC Aiken (12-8), third seed Flagler College (14-10) and sixth seed Anderson University (19-10).
Each of the eight regional winners will advance to the NCAA Division II Women’s Volleyball Championship that will be hosted at the Sanford Pentagon in Sioux Falls, South Dakota on December 12-14.
