GREENVILLE, S.C. – Lees-McRae College has earned the top seed in the 2024 Conference Carolinas Women’s Soccer Championship that begins on Thursday, November 7.

The Bobcats closed the regular season unbeaten in Conference Carolinas play, going 9-0-3 to claim the top spot with a .180 KPI value. Lees-McRae won the Northwest Division with a 6-0-2 record and have concluded the regular season with an overall record of 10-2-3. The Bobcats advance to the tournament semifinals at the Truist Soccer Complex at Bryan Park in Browns Summit, North Carolina on Friday, November 15 at 11:00 a.m.

UNC Pembroke earned the second seed with a .176 KPI value, going 8-0-4 in league play and finishing runner-up in the East Division. The Braves are 9-3-4 overall and will play in the second semifinal on Friday, November 15 at 1:45 p.m.

East Division champion, Francis Marion University took the third seed with a .156 KPI value, going 8-1-3 in conference play and 9-2-4 overall. The Patriots receive a bye into the quarterfinals and will host the winner of sixth seed Young Harris College (8-5-3, 8-1-3 CC) and seventh seed University of Mount Olive (7-4-5, 5-4-3 CC) on Sunday, November 10 at 2:00 p.m. Young Harris and Mount Olive will square off on Thursday, November 7 at 4:00 p.m. in Young Harris, Georgia.

Belmont Abbey College earned the fourth seed with an overall record of 10-3-3, going 7-2-3 in league play and will host ninth seed Barton College (5-7-5, 2-6-4 CC) in the first round on Thursday, November 7 at 7:00 p.m. in Belmont, North Carolina. Barton earned the ninth seed due to a tiebreaker with Chowan as both had a KPI value of -.020. The two teams split their head-to-head series this year, so the first tiebreaker did not break the tie. The second tiebreaker is conference record (point system). Barton has a better record (points system), therefore Barton is the ninth seed.

Converse University earned the fifth seed, going 8-6-3 overall and 6-3-3 in league play. The Valkyries will face North Greenville University who earned the eighth seed with a win over Converse on Monday night. The Trailblazers ended the regular season with an overall record of 2-9-5, and 2-7-3 in Conference Carolinas play. The two will square off on Thursday, November 7 at 6:00 p.m. in Spartanburg, South Carolina.
