A native of Haverhill, Massachusetts. Nicolosi continued his stellar first collegiate season with the Trojans after going 3-0 at 165 pounds at the Carolina Clash, including two ranked victories. On Sunday, against No. 15 Lander, he upset top-ranked and defending national champion David Hunsberger via a 6-5 decision. In the following dual, Nicolosi upended No. 6 ranked Guy Deleonardis of Glenville State by a 2-1 decision to complete an undefeated performance.
