Conference Carolinas recognizes fall Elite 23 Award recipients

GREENVILLE, S.C. – Conference Carolinas recognized its Elite 23 Award Presented by McGriff Insurance Services winners over the course of the fall portion of its 2024-25 championship season.

Liam King of Young Harris College earned the award for men’s cross country while North Greenville University’s Avery Shope earned the award in women’s cross country. Chowan University’s Harry Baker took the award for men’s soccer while Izzy Ashley of Francis Marion University earned the honor in women’s soccer. Layla Bland of Emmanuel University earned the award in women’s volleyball. All five of the fall winners carry a 4.0 GPA.

The Elite 23 Award honors Conference Carolinas student-athletes with the highest cumulative grade-point average at their respective championship site.

The award is modeled after the NCAA's Elite 90 Award and it allows all student-athletes at the final championship site to win the award.
