College Sports Communicators Women's Soccer Academic All-America

GREENVILLE, S.C. –
The College Sports Communicators (CSC) announced on Wednesday the 2024 Academic All-America® women’s soccer teams. Anna Grossheim of UNC Pembroke and Kristina Syragakis of Francis Marion University were both recognized.

Grossheim was selected first team CSC Academic All-America® honors for the third time, previously garnering the distinction in 2022 and 2023. She is one of two selections to earn honors twice, and the only on the first team. The graduate student carries a GPAs of 3.99 and 3.75 while studying public administration. On the pitch, Grossheim earned first team all-conference honors and first team All-Southeast Region by the Division II Conference Commissioners Association (D2 CCA). Grossheim is also one of the nine finalists for NCAA Woman of the Year.

Syragakis earns the distinction for the first time with a 3.55 GPA while majoring in sports marketing. On the pitch, the junior was selected Conference Carolinas Offensive Player of the Year, first team all-conference and first team All-Southeast Region by the D2 CCA. She led Conference Carolinas with 18 goals scored, including the game-winner in the conference championship game with 7.8 seconds remaining to give the Patriots their first Conference Carolinas title.

The 2024-25 Academic All-District® Men's and Women's Soccer Teams, selected by College Sports Communicators, recognize the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances on the field and in the classroom. The CSC Academic All-America® program separately recognizes honorees in four divisions — NCAA Division I, NCAA Division II, NCAA Division III and NAIA.

The Division II and III CSC Academic All-America® programs are partially financially supported by the NCAA Division II and III national governance structures to assist CSC with handling the awards fulfillment aspects for the 2024-25 Divisions II and III Academic All-America® programs. The NAIA CSC Academic All-America® program is partially financially supported through the NAIA governance structure.
