Exciting First Day at the 2024 Conference Carolinas Swimming Championships
KINGSPORT, Tenn. – It was an exciting opening day at the 2024 Conference Carolinas Swimming Championships at the Kingsport Aquatic Center on Wednesday, Feb. 21.
The opening day featured
Sofia Pereira of UNC Pembroke setting the tone for the day in the women's 1,000 freestyle in securing first-place with a record-breaking time of 10:27.04. UNC Pembroke followed that up by capturing another Conference Carolinas Women's Swimming Championship record with a time of 1:45.06 in the 200 medley relay. Emmanuel collected a record of their own in the 800 freestyle relay with a time of 7:35.80.

The final second day of the championship on Thursday will feature preliminaries starting at 10 a.m. followed by the finals for the day that begin at 5 p.m.
