Exceptional Swimming on Display During Second Day of 2024 Conference Carolinas Swimming Championships

KINGSPORT, Tenn. – The records continued to fall on day two of the 2024 Conference Carolinas Swimming Championships at the Kingsport Aquatic Center on Thursday, Feb. 22, 2024.
 
The first record of the second day of the Conference Carolinas Swimming Championships fell in the women’s 200 IM with Emmanuel’s Susana Ungo besting her own record from the year before with a time of 2:04.29.
 
Chowan’s Aleksei Belolipetskii set the new record in the men’s 200 IM with a time of 1:48.88.
 
Emmanuel leads the men’s and women’s team standings after two days. UNC Pembroke is second in the women’s team standings followed by Converse in third, while Barton is second in the men's team standings. Lees-McRae is currently third in the men's team standings.

The third day of the championships on Friday will feature preliminaries starting at 10 a.m. followed by the finals for the day that begin at 5 p.m. 
 
Conference Carolinas will also stream the senior festivities live at 4 p.m. on Friday, Feb. 23.
