Mount Olive Chosen to Claim Title in 2024 Men’s Outdoor Track & Field Preseason Poll
GREENVILLE, S.C. – Mount Olive has been chosen to collect its 10
th straight Conference Carolinas Men’s Outdoor Track & Field Championship in the 2024 preseason poll.
The preseason poll is voted on by the league’s head coaches.
Mount Olive picked up all 11 first-place votes available to them (teams cannot vote for themselves) to garner a total of 121 points. UNC Pembroke was tabbed second in the preseason poll with 110 points. Belmont Abbey was picked third and claimed the final first-place vote.
North Greenville (91) was fourth and were followed by Southern Wesleyan (76), Erskine (59), Lees-McRae (56), Converse (52), Barton (48), Emmanuel (41), King (24) and Francis Marion (19).
The 2024 Conference Carolinas Men’s and Women’s Outdoor Track & Field Championships will be contested on Friday, April 26 and Saturday, April 27 at Doug Shaw Memorial Stadium in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina.
