Mount Olive Grabs Top Spot in 2024 Women's Outdoor Track & Field Preseason Poll

GREENVILLE, S.C. – Mount Olive has been selected to capture its 10th straight Conference Carolinas Women’s Outdoor Track & Field Championship in the 2024 preseason poll.
 
The preseason poll is voted on by the league’s head coaches.
 
Mount Olive narrowly held off 2024 Conference Carolinas Women’s Indoor Track & Field champion Converse for the top spot. Mount Olive captured a total of 115 points to earn first-place honors in the preseason poll. The Trojans picked up five first-place votes. Converse grabbed more first-place votes with six, but a total of 112 points to sit second in the preseason tally. UNC Pembroke garnered the final first-place vote and a total of 99 points to sit third in the preseason poll.
 
North Greenville (91) was fourth in the preseason poll and were followed by Belmont Abbey (80), Southern Wesleyan (66), Lees-McRae (63), Barton (40), Emmanuel and Erskine (37), King (32) and Francis Marion (20).
 
The 2024 Conference Carolinas Men’s and Women’s Outdoor Track & Field Championships will be contested on Friday, April 26 and Saturday, April 27 at Doug Shaw Memorial Stadium in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina.
