Lauryn Taylor, Kalaya Hall Selected to D2 CCA Women’s Basketball All-Southeast Region Team

GREENVILLE, S.C. - Lauryn Taylor of Francis Marion and Kalaya Hall of UNC Pembroke have been selected to the 2023-24 Division II Conference Commissioners Association (D2 CCA) Women’s Basketball All-Southeast Region Team.
 
A senior forward/center from Blythewood, South Carolina, Taylor was selected as both the Conference Carolinas Player and Defensive Player of the Year. She has also now received D2 CCA All-Region first-team honors for two straight seasons. Taylor leads all of NCAA Division II with 15.0 rebounds per game. She was the only player in Division II to capture 400 or more rebounds during the regular season. Taylor was also second in Conference Carolinas during the regular season with 17.9 points per game. She was also chosen to the Atlantic Casualty Conference Carolinas Women’s Basketball Championship All-Tournament Team.
 
Hall was named the Atlantic Casualty Conference Carolinas Women’s Basketball Championship Most Valuable Player for the second consecutive season last week. She is the first player to earn the recognition in back-to-back years since the 2005-06 championship. Hall averaged 25.0 points per game during the championship and 5.0 rebounds as well. A first-team All-Conference Carolinas selection, Hall enters the NCAA Division II Women’s Basketball Championship averaging 17.0 points per game. She also has 83 assists, 55 steals and 12 blocks on the 2023-24 season.  

Athletic Communication professionals from NCAA Division II Southeast Region schools and conferences selected the D2 CCA all-region teams. The process concludes with All-American selections announced later in the month.

The NCAA Division II Conference Commissioners sponsored the All-Region teams.
