Women's Tennis Player of the Week
Emma Bentz, Erskine

A senior from Suwanee, Georgia, Emma Bentz of Erskine collected her second straight weekly honor by picking up two wins at both No. 1 singles and No. 1 doubles last week. 

Bentz helped lead Erskine to a thrilling 4-3 team win over Limestone with a 6-2, 4-6, 6-3 victory over Monika Temkova at No. 1 singles. She teamed with Luize Valtere to best the Limestone duo of Camila Molina Barranco and Anastasiia Khriapko, 6-4, at No. 1 doubles. 

In Erskine's first-ever team win over Georgia College & State, Bentz defeated Jada Young 6-4, 3-6, 7-5 at No. 1 singles and then partnered with Valtere to down Young and Ashton Morrison, 6-4, at No. 1 doubles in the 5-2 team victory.

Men's Tennis Player of the Week
Niklas Gruenefeldt, Mount Olive

A sophomore from Angern an der March, Austria, Niklas Gruenefeldt of Mount Olive secured victories at second singles and doubles in the Trojans' 6-1 team victory over West Virginia Wesleyan in non-conference play.

In doubles, Gruenefeldt and senior Adam Ibrahim delivered a 6-2 win in the second slot over Gianluca Gerndt and Mika Kreisel to help UMO capture the doubles point. In the singles portion of the match, Gruenefeldt won in straight sets 7-5, 6-3 against Gerndt. The Trojans claimed five of the six singles matches.

Women’s Golfer of the Week
Victoria Morelli, Mount Olive

A junior from Paraná, Argentina, Victoria Morelli of Mount Olive collected a top-50 finish at the highly-competitive River Landing Classic hosted by UNCW. 

In the event that featured many NCAA Division I programs, Morelli leaped five positions in the final round to tie for 50th after carding a 240 (77-84-79) with 29 pars and a team-leading three birdies.

Men’s Golfer of the Week
Ryan Jahr, Barton

A sophomore from Ocean Isle Beach, North Carolina, Ryan Jahr led 21st-ranked Barton to a fourth-place team finish at the 2024 Bearcat Classic at the Greenwood Country Club.

Jahr tied for second individually after carding a 12-under 204 after 54 holes of competition. Jahr was named to the Bearcat Classic All-Tournament Team.
