Barton Leads After Opening Round of 2024 Conference Carolinas Men's Golf Championship
SNOW HILL, N.C. - Barton is in first place after round one at the 2024 Conference Carolinas Men's Golf Championship at the par-72, 7,280-yard Cutter Creek Golf Course.
Ranked 17th nationally in the latest Bushnell/Golfweek DII Coaches' Poll, Barton carded a team total of 295 to finish the opening round six strokes ahead of Belmont Abbey (301). Mount Olive and Emmanuel are tied for third after day one at 303.
Jacob Ferrari of Belmont Abbey and Rasmus Ronnberg of Mount Olive both carded an even-par 72 in the first round to end their efforts on the day tied for first individually. Barton's Ryan Jahr and Kris Jackson are tied for third after both carded a 73 in round one.
