Barton remains in lead after second day of 2024 Conference Carolinas Men’s Golf Championship
SNOW HILL, N.C. – Barton improved on its opening round team score by five strokes to extend its lead after the second round of the 2024 Conference Carolinas Men's Golf Championship at the par-72, 7,280-yard Cutter Creek Golf Course.
Barton’s Ryan Jahr and Kris Jackson posted second-round scores of even-par 72 to end day two tied for first individually at 145. The pair posted equal scores of 73 one day earlier.
Belmont Abbey’s Connor Rose carded a 1-under 71 to move into a tie for third place at 146 (75-71). Rose is tied with Barton’s Harrison Wierse (74-72) for third after 36 holes.
Barton’s second-round score of 290 bested its opening-round score of 295 and left them with a 17-stroke advantage entering the final round at 585. Mount Olive is second at 602 (303-299), while Belmont Abbey is third at 603 (301-302).
