Track Athlete of the Week
Channie Jefferson, Mount Olive

A senior from Oley, Pennsylvania, Trimbur secured the individual crown while competing in the javelin on Saturday at the highly competitive USC Open. She delivered a mark of 40.91 meters on her second attempt of the event to claim the win while competing in a field of 21 competitors, including a majority of Division I athletes. It marked her fourth event title in javelin this season.

Field Athlete of the Week
Danielle Trimbur, Mount Olive

A sophomore, Jefferson, North Carolina competed in three events at the USC Open and hit an NCAA mark as a member of the 4x400 meter relay team on Saturday. Jefferson crossed the line in a season-best time of 14.46 seconds in the 100 meter hurdles, which was the third-best mark in the conference this season. She also placed eighth in the long jump after posting a distance of 5.39 meters.

The 4x400 meter relay team of senior Vinesha Briggs, senior Natalyah Wilson, sophomore Chianel Asoburuenwu, and Jefferson established another NCAA mark with a time of 3:48.59 to place fifth overall.

Delsin Burkhart, UNC Pembroke

Won the 800 meters at the Aggie Classic with a time of 1:52.80, which is the fastest time in Conference Carolinas this season.

Field Athlete of the Week
Sigursteinn Asgeirsson, Mount Olive

A freshman from Borgasetriô, Iceland, Asgeirsson posted a season-best mark in the shot put with a toss of 16.27 meters to place fourth at the USC Open. He holds the top mark in the Conference Carolinas while sitting second in the Southeast Region in the event.

Player of the Week
Makayla Cuthbertson, Francis Marion

For the week Cuthbertson hit .667 with six hits in nine at bats. In four Francis Marion wins, she scored four runs on a home run, and a double while driving in five. She posted an on-base percentage of .727 and slugged 1.111 as 24th-ranked Patriots won the east division title and the top seed in the upcoming conference tournament In the sweep of Mount Olive she went 2-for-3 with a double and two runs batted in before going 2-for-3 with two runs scored, and driving in two in the nightcap She followed that with a pair of hits, including a home run, in three at bats in a sweep of Barton.

Pitcher of the Week
Alyssa Poston, Francis Marion

Poston posted a 2-0 record with a save in 4 appearances last week, posting a 0.82 ERA. In two starts, including one shutout, she tossed 17.0 innings and allowed only nine hits with 11 strikeouts against only one walk. Opponents batted just .150 against her for the week as she defeated Beat Mount Olive 3-2 with a complete game five-hitter. She earned save in second game of the Mount Olive twinbill with two scoreless innings

She then closed the week with a shutout of Barton 4-0. In the contest she only allowed three hits and struck out nine against no walks.

Player of the Week
David Hernandez, Erskine

Hernandez had a big week, leading the Flying Fleet to a sweep of nationally ranked Barton. He posted seven hits in the series and nine hits on the week wiht a nonconference win over Augusta. For the week he hit .600 with six runs batted in, a pair of home runs and five runs scored. In games one and three against Barton he went 3-for-4, driving in one in game one and two in game three. He came up with the game-winning single in the bottom of the 10th inning of game to give Erskine the 10-9 win, and sweep.

Pitcher of the Week
Corbin Dickenson, King

Dickenson tossed a complete game, defeating #25 UNC Pembroke 2-1. He throwing all seven innings, allowing one earned run on four hits with five strikeouts over the Braves. The freshman held the Braves to their second-lowest hit total this season.
