Conference Carolinas has eight members in NCAA Region Rankings

INDIANAPOLIS – In the latest set of regional rankings, Conference Carolinas has eight members among the top in the region across men's and women's tennis, softball and baseball.

The rankings are the official poll utilized by the NCAA in the championship selection process and will continue to be released each week by the NCAA Division II Softball, Men's and Women's Tennis and Baseball Committees up to the NCAA Championship selections.

In softball, Francis Marion is ranked third with a region record of 37-10. The Patriots are 41-10 overall.

Erskine and Barton are ranked, sixth and ninth in women's tennis, respectively. Erskine is 16-3 overall and in region matches while Barton owns an 11-3 overall record, going 10-3 in region contests.

In men's tennis, Mount Olive is ranked sixth, Young Harris is eighth and Belmont Abbey is 10th. Mount Olive is 14-3 overall and in region matches while Young Harris is 11-6 overall and 11-5 in region matches. Belmont Abbey is 16-8 in both region matches and overall.

Conference Carolinas has five members ranked in baseball, Barton, Mount Olive, North Greenville UNC Pembroke and Young Harris. Barton is 27-12 in region games, owning a 32-12 overall record whlie Mount Olive is 29-19 in region contests and 32-12 overall. North Greenville is 33-10 in region games and 36-10 overall. UNC Pembroke is 33-12 in region games and 34-12 overall while Young Harris is 35-9 overall and in region games.

The first set of rankings are ranked in alphabetical order before the second set of baseball rankings on Wednesday, May 1 will be ranked 1-9.
