Conference Carolinas releases men's lacrosse all-conference awards
GREENVILLE, S.C. – Conference Carolinas announced their men's lacrosse all-conference awards prior to the start of the 2024 Men's Lacrosse Championship semifinals on Friday.
The all-conference awards were chosen by the league's head coaches.
Aidan Lalonde of Mount Olive was chosen as the offensive player of the year. Lalonde ranked second in the league with 44 goals for an average of 3.38 per game. He added 10 assists for a total of 54 points, ranking him fifth in the league with an average of 4.15 points per game.
Mount Olive's Alan Usher was tabbed defensive player of the year. Usher ranked 10th in Conference Carolinas with an average of 1.08 caused turnovers per game to lead a Trojan defense that led the league with only 11.00 goals allowed per game.
Angus Snow of Belmont Abbey was named freshman of the year as the goalie ranked second in the league in goals against average. He only allowed 11.01 goals per game and ranked fourth in the league with an average of 12.82 saves per game. His saves percentage of .530 ranked second in Conference Carolinas.
Dylan Price of Mount Olive earned coach of the year honors for the first time. He led the Trojans to a perfect 7-0 record in Conference Carolinas play, earning the regular season crown and top seed in the Conference Carolinas Men's Lacrosse Championship. Mount Olive is 10-3 overall this season heading into the conference championship semifinals.
