Exciting first day of 2024 Tennis Championships
SUMTER, S.C. – The 2024 Conference Carolinas Tennis Championships got off to an exciting start on Friday at the Palmetto Tennis Center in Sumter, S.C.

Fourth seed Mount Olive won a pair of matches to advance to Saturday’s semifinals. The Trojans topped ninth seed North Greenville 4-0 in the first round before defeating fifth seed Barton 4-1 in a quarterfinal.
Earlier in the day, Barton started with a 4-0 win over eighth seed Lees-McRae.
Also in the first round, sixth seed Francis Marion defeated seventh seed Converse. However, third seed Belmont Abbey then defeated Francis Marion 4-1 in the quarterfinal match.
The semifinal matches are scheduled to 9:00 a.m. on Saturday, April 27. Mount Olive faces top seed Young Harris while Belmont Abbey takes on second seed Emmanuel
The championship match is slated for 9:00 a.m. on Sunday, April 28.
Women’s Championship - CHAMPIONSHIP WEBSITE | BRACKET
The women’s championship stared with three tight first round matches as fifth seed Emmanuel topped eighth seed Converse 4-3. Fourth seed Belmont Abbey followed with a 4-2 win over ninth seed Francis Marion. The opening round concluded with a 4-1 win for sixth seed Young Harris over seventh seed Mount Olive.
In the quarterfinal round, Belmont Abbey defeated Emmanuel 4-2 while Young Harris upset third seed Barton. The Mountain Lions edged past the Bulldogs 4-3, advancing to Saturday’s semifinals.
The semifinals are scheduled for Saturday, April 27 at 2:00 p.m. Belmont Abbey will take on top seed Lees-McRae while Young Harris will take on second seed Erskine.
The championship match is scheduled for 1:00 p.m. on Sunday, April 28.
