Mount Olive takes Conference Carolinas women's lacrosse championship for fourth straight year

MOUNT OLIVE, N.C. –
Mount Olive won their fourth straight Conference Carolinas Women’s Lacrosse championship on Saturday, defeating Young Harris 18-7.

The top-seeded Trojans used a big first quarter to take a 7-2 lead behind two goals each from Logan Hibbard, Bria Hamilton and Teagan Dunnett. Dunnett added two goals in the second quarter as Mount Olive took an 11-4 lead halftime.

Third seed Young Harris cut into their deficit in the third quarter, pulling within 13-7. However, Mount Olive didn’t allow a goal in the fourth quarter and added five goals to take the contest 18-7.

Dunnett scored five goals and added two assists while Hibbard chipped in with four goals.
