Belmont Abbey's Staskunas tabbed AVCA All-America honorable mention

GREENVILLE, S.C. – The American Volleyball Coaches Association (AVCA) announced their 34th annual National Collegiate Men’s Volleyball All-American teams and Belmont Abbey’s Matthew Staskunas garnered honorable mention honors.

Staskunas of Belmont Abbey was named Conference Carolinas Offensive Player of the Year and was tabbed the most valuable player of the Conference Carolinas Men’s Volleyball Championship. The outside hitter posted a .286 attack percentage, good for fifth in the league, while averaging 3.23 kills per set which ranks him seventh in Conference Carolinas. At the service line, he ranks second in the league with an average of 0.41 aces per set. The New Berlin, Wisconsin native added averages of 1.60 digs and 3.86 points per set.
