Barton finishes ninth at NCAA Division II South/Southeast Regional
GAINESVILLE, Ga. – Barton finished ninth at the NCAA Division II Men’s Golf South/Southeast Regional. The Bulldogs shot 880 in the three round event and were led by Harrison Wierse.
The tournament was hosted at the Chattahoochee Golf Club that featured a par 72, 7166-yard course in Gainesville, Georgia.
Due to weather, the first two rounds were played on Friday as Barton shot 286 and 300 in the opening rounds. The Bulldogs finished with a round of 294 on Saturday.
Wierse led the way, shooting 70-74-70 for a total of 214 to take fifth. Daniel Adkins followed with a 22nd-place finish shooting 219. He shot three rounds of one-over 73.
Ryan Jahr was next for the Bulldogs, shooting 77-75-73 for a tournament total of 225 while Kris Jackson shot 72-78-78 for a three-round total of 228. Mithcell Soma rounded out the team with a tournament total of 231 after shooting 71-81-79.
