Four Conference Carolinas teams qualify for NCAA Division II Baseball Championship

INDIANAPOLIS - Four Conference Carolinas baseball teams qualified for the NCAA Division II Baseball Championship as was announced on Sunday night.

North Greenville (41-12) will be the second seed and host for one of the southeast regionals. Mount Olive (37-16) is the third seed while Conference Carolinas champion UNC Pembroke is the fourth seed with a 41-12 record. Young Harris earned the fifth seed with a 39-13 record.

North Greenville will take on seventh seed Georgia College and State University (34-20) in the opening round while Mount Olive will face sixth seed Wingate (33-23) in their opening contest. Both of those contests will be at North Greenville in Tigerville, South Carolina.

UNC Pembroke and Young Harris will face each other to start the three-team bracket at Catawba (40-14) in Salisbury, North Carolina.

The NCAA Regionals start on Thursday, May 16 and are scheduled to conclude on Sunday, May 19. The Super Regionals are the following weekend on May 24-25 before the Championship Finals on June 1-8 in Cary, North Carolina.
