Barton's Wierse garners honorable mention PING All-America honors from GCAA

GREENVILLE, S.C. – Harrison Wierse of Barton garnered honorable mention PING All-America honors from the Golf Coaches Association of America (GCAA) when they released their awards on Thursday.

Wierse finished the season ranked 34th in the Clippd rankings with a scoring average of 70.9. The senior from Wilmington, North Carolinas played in 36 rounds, leading the Bulldogs to a Conference Carolinas title, and NCAA Division II South/Southeast Regional appearance.

In 12 events, Wierse turned in two wins, five top five and seven top 10 finishes. He won the Barton Fall Intercollegiate and finished tied for the win at the Conference Carolinas Men’s Golf Championship. He then finished fifth at the NCAA Division II South/Southeast Regional with a score of two-under 214.
